Some of you may have experienced a error in running the SCS Report Utility recently. I myself have experience it. As far as the solution goes I am quoting the Trimble’s support solution. This goes for SCS Data Manager and Business Center – HCE
I can confirm it works on the windows machines still working on my macbook pro.
Things to check:
– Make sure you are running the appropriate version of the report utility. They can be downloaded here:
http://www.trimble.com/construction/heavy-civil/site-positioning-systems/scs900.aspx?dtID=support
– In excel go under the excel options and then the trust center settings and make sure macros are enabled.
– Make sure you have done all the windows system updates (specifically .NET framework) and all the office updates available for your system
– If the updates have been performed and errors persist it may be due to a corrupt EXD file.
manually delete the corrupted EXD files that are generated when Windows Update makes them….
These files should be located in the folder: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Forms\
On Windows XP, it is usually located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms\
And on Windows Vista/7:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Forms\
The file you are looking for is: MSComctLib.exd (not a rule)
