With the new technology coming out every day I get ask lots of questions on how to export the proper files to proper platforms. Trimble business Center is the tool of your choice. Today we will look on how to publish [export] your designs to Trimble Earthworks platform. To publish designs to Trimble Earthwork platform you wan to utilize the Business Center suite. By simply choosing your site and design Business Center will take care of the rest. In the video below I will go through the steps on how to export the files and where to find them. What is Trimble Earthworks platform? Trimble Earthworks platform is the next generation grade control platform for Excavators, Dozers and graders. It was completely redesigned from ground up and it runs on Android powered rugged tablet. There are different components needed for the system but a quick call to your local dealer should answer all these questions. Project library error ! If you are not used to Trimble Earthworks platform and you going to export for the first time, most likely you will receive and error that your Job Site is not associated with Project library. This is a quick fix. you need to double click your Job Site in the project Explorer to get to the properties of your Job Site. Once in Job Site Manager at the top you will find the Project Library window where you can choose the destination folder. Most common place is your C drive and ProjectLibrary. Publish to Library Once you have checked your designs and you are ready for the export, under the Construction Data tab hit the "Publish to Library" button. From there you will be directed through few prompts on what you wan to actually publish. Check the appropriate designs, calibrations and any additional data you may need and hit "Publish". These steps will export the data to you library which is most often located on your C drive under Project Library folder. You can also choose to publish directly to USB by pressing the "Library to USB Drive" button.
